I'm Christopher Inks

I founded TexasWest Capital, LLC during my 2L year of law school. I had fallen down the crypto rabbit hole on Twitter and noticed all the really bad technical analysis. Additionally, it seemed like all the new traders were paying to be part of pump and dump groups which left them with little to show for their effort. I could see a lot of similarities between the crypto market and the FX market, which I was trading. And the participants were similar as well.

I felt like I could help traders by teaching them what I had learned over the prior 22 years trading stocks, FX, futures, and more. It has been a learning experience for me along the way. Teaching others how to trade has forced clarity in the charts for me along with a better understanding of the things I took for granted.

My Story

I always knew that I didn't want to work for someone. So, I decided to learn how to trade and invest. Not surprisingly, I was pretty awful at first. Like many of you I struggled. My first few years were full of consistent losses. I made all the same mistakes you do - FOMOing in on a fast-moving trade, using large sizes with little-to-no risk management, revenge trading... you name it, I did it. But after about three years, I decided that I needed to actually become a student of the market so that I could learn to trade successfully. Otherwise, I might have to spend the rest of my life working for someone else.

So, that's what I did. I started studying EVERYTHING that had to do with trading and investing. Every indicator, every strategy, every system I could get my hands on. It wasn't enough just to know how to use them, I needed to understand why they worked. And, sitting here today, I have to tell you that was the best decision I could've ever made. I went all in - One thousand percent!

Why I Do It

There is no shortcut to creating wealth. It takes focus, discipline, and consistency at the right things. It doesn't happen overnight. But it's also not rocket science and I am a firm believer that just about anyone can learn to trade profitably.

I want to show people that there is another way - that they aren't relegated to wherever they currently are in life. It's important for people to understand that they can create positive change in their lives. They need to know that they have the control.
